Nainital Zoo is a high altitude zoo located on the Sher Ka Danda hill at a height of 2,100 m or 6,900 ft above sea level in Nainital city, Uttarakhand. It is the only zoo in the state and one of the few high altitude zoos in India. It was established in 1984 and opened to visitors in 1995. It is named after Bharat Ratna Pt.
