The building now functions as a public monument and displays a life-size statue of Shahu Maharaj, the most loved king of Kolhapur. After exploring the historical monuments, you can visit the Kolhapur Town Hall Museum, a museum situated in a heritage building with elements of neo-Gothic architecture. The museum was established in 1945 to preserve the items obtained from excavations at the Brahmapuri Hills that belonged to the Satavahana and Shilahara-Bahmani periods.

Later paintings of renowned local artists were added to the collection. The museum also exhibits pottery fragments, beads, coins, bronze objects, stone age axes, guns used in world war one, and many more incredible things. Finally, end your day with a visit to the Binkhambi Ganesh Temple, a temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha with a very unique feature. The temple has been constructed without the use of even a single pillar.

This is the main reason why the temple attracts not only devotees but also architecture enthusiasts. It is believed that the idol of Lord Ganesha enshrined in the temple was discovered while repairing a well, and is much older than the temple itself. The temple is open from 6 AM to 9 PM, and the entry is free.
