After seeking blessings from Khandoba, proceed to Narayanpur, which is about 20 km away from Jejuri. Narayanpur is a small village that is known for the Ek mukhi Datta Temple, one of the rare temples of Lord Dattatreya in India. Lord Dattatreya is considered as a combined form of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, the three supreme gods of Hinduism. Lord Dattatreya is also revered by many sects and cults in India.
Reach Narayanpur by 12:00 PM and visit the Ek mukhi Datta Temple, which is located on the banks of the Indrayani River. This is a modern temple that has a white marble idol of Lord Dattatreya with one face and three heads. The temple also has a small garden and a meditation hall for devotees.
After paying your respects to Lord Dattatreya, drive to Ketkawale, which is about 30 km away from Narayanpur. Ketkawale is a village that is famous for the Pratibalaji Temple, a replica of the Tirupati Balaji Temple in Andhra Pradesh. The temple is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, another form of Lord Vishnu, who is worshipped as the preserver and protector of life.
Reach Ketkawale by 2:00 PM and visit the Pratibalaji Temple, which is located on a hill in the village. This is a grand temple that has a black stone idol of Lord Venkateswara with four arms and gold ornaments. The temple also has a museum that displays some artifacts and paintings related to Lord Venkateswara and Hindu mythology.
After seeking blessings from Lord Venkateswara, return to your cab and drive back to Pune. You can stop for lunch at any of the restaurants on the way or enjoy some snacks at the roadside stalls. You can also buy some souvenirs such as rose products, handicrafts and religious items from the local markets in Moreshwar and Jejuri.
